Welcome

Welcome to Terry Alsdorf's online abode. Here you'll find my thoughts and reflections. Let me tell you a bit about myself: I work as a Systems Engineer/DevOps Engineer and have extensive experience in hardware and software maintenance, incident resolution, and process improvement. I have a proven track record of successfully identifying and resolving system, network, and firewall issues, and am skilled in automating processes to improve efficiency. With a deep understanding of heterogeneous Linux, Unix, and Windows environments, I am currently serving as the Vice President of Infrastructure Development. In this role, I am responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining BlueCat DNS/DHCP appliances, developing automation processes, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues. I have also led my group's agile transformation and established the SDLC pipeline for software delivery. In previous positions, I provided global DNS/DHCP operational support and conducted root cause analysis for outages. Beyond my professional pursuits, I am a loving spouse and devoted father with a passion for tinkering and making. I have a wide range of interests, including technology, and am always seeking to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements. This page is my platform to document my journey.
